Publicado: 23 September, 2020
Don’t you know the Algar Sources?
The Fuentes del Algar (Les Fonts d’Algar), located in the Callosa d’Ensarria area, only 18 km from the Racó campsite, is a natural site with a high level of conservation of ecological wealth and is also equipped with tourist services and environmental education.
The visit consists of a 1.5 km long circuit along the course of the Algar River (“cave” in Arabic) in a succession of springs that spring from the rocks, waterfalls and natural pools -tolls- where you can take refreshing baths in pure and crystalline waters, formerly considered a “source of health”; the old dam, the imposing canal and the century-old ditches still in use today.
The services aimed at facilitating and enriching the visit with environmental education resources are the following: Tourist Office, parking areas, toilets, first aid, Arboretum, picnic area.
To all this we must add the Dino Park Algar, as well as the 5 restaurants that exist in the vicinity, where you can enjoy the typical gastronomy of the area.
